Hi, I’m Naz.

Senior Software Engineer by day, global explorer by heart.

Growing up in the Dominican Republic with limited means, I relied on scholarships to attend one of my country’s top universities, where coding sparked my imagination. For me, writing code felt like building tiny worlds from scratch, each one an opportunity to solve problems and open doors to new possibilities.

As my career took off, so did my ambitions to explore. Doubling my salary year after year gave me the freedom to travel, yet visas remained a hurdle. Determined to see more of this incredible planet, I pursued a path to U.S. citizenship. Gaining that status unlocked destinations I’d only dreamt of, making it easier to set foot in places I once thought unreachable.

Today, I bring that sense of adventure to my work as a Senior Software Engineer at Google Maps—my way of helping others envision new horizons. Whether I’m working remotely, running marathons, or tackling an Ironman, I’m proof that you can push your limits, expand your world, and inspire others to do the same.

This blog is where I’ll share the stories behind my journeys, the lessons learned through tough climbs and daring leaps. For now, I’ll keep it brief, but I hope you’ll stick around as I dive deeper into these adventures in future posts. Let’s connect, explore, and dare to reach a little further together.
